Aurelio Leo Lara, President

After a successful career in public service with the Texas Department of Human Resources, at the age of 34, I decided to follow my dream of becoming a lawyer. In 1989, I started my own firm and I have continued to serve my community’s legal needs with practical solutions ever since. The passion for the law that drove me to switch careers remains with me today, and I apply that passion to all of the cases I handle. I believe that over 25 years of experience in a variety of practice areas gives me an enhanced ability to identify issues and develop more solutions for my clients.

I was drawn to the practice of law because it offers me endless opportunities to learn new things and apply that knowledge to help clients. Early on, I found that I especially enjoyed helping families and small business owners in the areas of business and estate planning. These practices areas allow me to form long-term relationships with my clients and get to know their families and businesses. I enjoy watching them grow and prosper, and I take pride in supporting them in those pursuits.
